“Ima'an (Faith) is both light and power. Yes, one who has acquired true Ima'an (Faith) can challenge the entire universe and by the strength of his Ima'an (Faith) he/she can survive the stress of various events.”
【 The default state of a believer is light, though he may slip into darkness.
The believer lives in the light of īmān — and though he may slip at times, he feels the weight of the darkness. He senses the distance from his Lord, the alienation of his heart. He commits a sin, but finds no true comfort in it. So he is quick to return — back to the light, back to repentance, back to his Lord — because that’s where he feels his heart truly belongs.
The default state of a munāfiq is darkness, though he may temporarily experience the light.
The hypocrite, however, dwells in darkness as his default state. Now and then, he may catch a glimpse of the light — through a verse, a reminder, an admonition — but it doesn’t truly comfort him. It may illuminate his world temporarily, but it is foreign to him. And so he is quick to retreat, back into the darkness, because that’s where he finds his comfort. - Nader Ibn Muhammad 】
